DESC email guidelines:
- Treat all users and colleagues as you would like them to treat you. We seek stimulating discussion and invite contentiousness, but will not tolerate personal antagonism.
- Do forward relevant emails or announcements. Do not send “thank you” and “me too” replies to the full list to avoid email fatigue, and also reduce environmental impact.
- Since this is a global community, be mindful of people’s linguistic and cultural diversity. Remember that not everybody is a native speaker/writer of your own preferred language.
- Should you prefer to receive less email, change your settings to receive a weekly digest instead of every message. Check https://mylist.upc.edu/wws/help/mail_commands.
- Send links instead of attachments when possible to reduce message size and facilitate use of those in low bandwidth environments, while also reducing environmental impact.
